William R. (Billy) Hickman, Jr. CPA, CFF, is a 1974 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. He joined the Firm in 1974 and was admitted as a partner in 1983. From October 1998 through December 31, 2008, he was the managing partner of Dabbs, Hickman, Hill & Cannon, LLP. Billy is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the states of Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. He also holds the certification, Certified in Financial Forensics.
Billy has the overall responsibility for the audit, review, and compilation practice of the Firm. His broad areas of expertise include individual and corporate income tax, small business planning, health care accounting, and litigation support. He has served as a Chapter 11 examiner in the District of South Carolina and has served as the accountant for the Trustee in Bankruptcy for Chapter 7 and 11 cases in Georgia.
Billy is a member of numerous civic and professional organizations including the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He currently serves on the Business Advisory Council of the College of Business Administration and on the School of Accounting Advisory Council of Georgia Southern University. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Ogeechee Technical College and a member of the Board of Directors of Excelsior Electric Membership Corporation. He served as chairman of the board of United Way for 2006 and 2007. In 1998, Billy was named Outstanding Accounting Alumnus by the Zeta Delta Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi at Georgia Southern University. He presented the commencement address to the Fall 2002 College of Business Administration graduating class at Georgia Southern University. Billy received the honor of 2007 Business Leader of the Year awarded by the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the First Baptist Church in Statesboro, Georgia.

Edwin G. Hill, CPA, MBA, received his bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Georgia in 1974 and received his master of business administration degree from the University of Georgia in 1975. Mr. Hill joined the Firm in 1980 and became a partner in 1983.
Edwin's primary responsibilities in the Firm include individual and corporate income tax, estate and gift tax planning, and personal financial planning. He has also served as managing partner since 2009.
Edwin is actively involved with numerous community service organizations. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Statesboro, where he has served as president and chairman of the board and is a Paul Harris Fellow. He has served as president and chairman of the board of the United Way, Bulloch County, and is a former treasurer of First United Methodist Church and former chairman of the board of the Statesboro-Bulloch County Board of Recreation. He is a charter member of Leadership Bulloch, where he served on the Board of Directors. He formerly served as treasurer and executive committee member of the Boys and Girls Club of Bulloch County and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Southern University Foundation. He has served as president and chairman of the board of the Statesboro High School Boosters. He is a member of the Statesboro High School Athletic Hall of Fame and the University of Georgia G-Club. He is in his second term as a member of the Bulloch County Board of Education.

Steven A. Cannon, CPA, is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting. Mr. Cannon joined the Firm in 1980.
Steve's professional emphasis is with individual and corporate income tax and business and financial consulting. Steve also has extensive experience with employee benefit plans, including retirement and cafeteria plans, along with the related planning and administration of these plans

Karl D. Bohnstedt, CPA, is a partner in the Firm's Savannah office. He received his bachelor of business administration degree from The Citadel. Karl is licensed to practice in the states of Georgia and South Carolina.
Karl has over twenty years of public accounting experience, including five years with Price Waterhouse, LLP and two years with Arthur Young & Company. Karl is experienced in all aspects of accounting, taxation, and consulting services for various types of businesses, especially multistate taxation and transaction planning. Karl's industry experience includes manufacturing, real estate and banking, shipping, high tech, retail and wholesale, and nonprofit entities.
Karl is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently the president of the Savannah East Chapter of the Rotary Club and the chairman of the Small Business Assistance Corporation. He is a past president of the Savannah Chapter of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and a previous member of the Savannah Estate Planning Council. Karl has worked with the Coastal Business Education and Technology Alliance and as a mentor for Coastal Venture Investment Forum. He is a graduate of the 1999-2000 class of Leadership Savannah. Civic activities include chairman of the board of trustees of the Live Oaks Public Libraries, treasurer of the American Youth Baseball Association, chair of an allocations panel for the United Way of the Coastal Empire, treasurer of the Lucas Theatre for the Arts, senior warden of his church, and member of the Savannah East Rotary Club. Billy has eighteen years of experience in public accounting and began his career with the international firm of Ernst & Young. He most recently was a partner in the regional firm of Carmichael, Clay & Barrs, LLC, which merged with Dabbs, Hickman, Hill & Cannon, LLP in 2009. He was a financial officer for fifteen years with a national construction company. His areas of expertise include audits, reviews, compilations, and other areas of accounting services. He also has extensive experience in business and individual tax planning.
Billy is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He and his family are members of Savannah Christian Church, and he is a former member of Rincon United Methodist Church, where he served on the finance committee.

Alison T. Clay, CPA, is a manager in the Firm's Savannah office. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Columbus State University in 1995, and her CPA designation in 1999.
Alison has over twenty six years experience in public accounting. She began her experience with Ernst & Young, big four international firm, in Columbus, Georgia. She has been in Savannah in public accounting since 1997 in a regional firm which merged with Dabbs, Hickman, Hill & Cannon, LLP during 2009. Alison is experienced in all aspects of accounting to include audits, reviews, compilations and individual and business tax return preparation. Alison has extensive experience in employee benefit plan audits, as well as construction industry audits.
Alison has recently been selected to serve as a member of the Savannah Area's Small Business Acceptance Corporation's Loan Committee.

David A. Ervin, CPA, manages the Firm's Brunswick office. David joined the Firm in 2004, after relocating from Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received a bachelor of science degree with an emphasis in accounting and finance.
David has over thirty years of experience in the accounting profession. David is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the states of Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina. In addition to his extensive experience with public accounting firms, he has served as the comptroller for a large international construction company and owned and operated a class A retail business. David is experienced in small business accounting and strategic planning and individual and corporate income tax.

Daniel J. Key, CPA, is an honor graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting. While at Georgia Southern, he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi business honor societies.
Danny joined the Firm in 1995 and is a Manager. He has a broad range of business experience including auditing, financial statement preparation, fraud detection and prevention, and business computer services. His areas of expertise include organizing accounting departments, training accounting personnel and installing computerized accounting software. He has extensive experience with QuickBooks accounting software and is a QuickBooks Professional Advisor. Danny is also experienced in providing litigation support services with an emphasis in bankruptcy litigation. Bankruptcy experience includes debtor and creditor cases.
Danny is a native of Southeast Georgia and is active in many community organizations. Vivian S. Myers, CPA, is a 1991 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. While at Georgia Southern, she was a member of the Beta Alpha Psi accounting honor society.
Vivian joined the Firm in 1995 and is a manager. She is experienced in small business accounting and income taxation of individuals, corporations and partnerships.

Ann A. Cromley, CPA, is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with bachelor of business administration degree in accounting and finance. She joined the Firm in 2005 as an accountant and currently serves as firm administrator.
Ann has over ten years of experience in the financial industry having served as financial examiner with the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance and as banking officer and internal auditor in the banking industry. Ann has also served as an accounting and business instructor at Ogeechee Technical College.
Ann currently serves on the board of trustees for the Bulloch County Foundation for Public School Education, on the Work Based Learning Advisory Committee for the Bulloch County School system, and is a charter member of Leadership Bulloch. Ann is an active volunteer in the Brooklet area having served as Brooklet Elementary School PTO president and treasurer and Brooklet United Methodist Church treasurer, preschool board chairman, and other leadership positions.

Laura B. Daniels, CPA is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in accounting. She joined the Firm in 2012 as a senior staff accountant. While at Georgia Southern, she was a member of Gamma Beta Phi Society.
Laura has over twenty years of experience in public accounting. She has expertise in small business accounting and income taxation of individuals, corporations, fiduciaries, partnerships and estates. Laura also holds the certified financial neutral designation in collaborative divorce proceedings.
Laura currently serves as a member of the executive and finance committees of the Bulloch County Hospital Authority Board. She is past treasurer of the Bulloch County Chapter of the American Red Cross and holds leadership positions in various equestrian organizations in the Coastal Empire.

He is licensed as a certified public accountant in the State of Georgia.

Elaine G. Norton, CPA,is a 1981 summa cum laude graduate of Georgia Southwestern University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. While at Georgia Southwestern, she was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Gamma Beta Phi, and Order of the Gown honor societies.
Elaine joined the firm in 2010 after returning to Georgia from Indiana. Austin K. York, CPA, MAcc, graduated in 2004 with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Georgia. In 2005, he was awarded a master of accountancy from The University of Georgia.
Austin has over seven years of public accounting experience, including four years in Atlanta with the global accounting firm KPMG, LLP and a regional public accounting firm, before joining Dabbs, Hickman, Hill and Cannon, LLP in 2009. Austin specializes in audit, tax, and general accounting.
